Spiders, penis and coffee breaks....Weekend fun in Scheveningen

Inconsistent weather, gorgeous light houses, cute beach cafés and just a great deal of relaxation. That's Scheveningen. Last weekend my bestie and I decided to have a little chill-out weekend by the beach. So we packed the car and headed towards The Hague in South Holland. We spent the night at Jorplace Beach Hostel (apparently the only one in Scheveningen) in a triple sleeper. To be honest, we weren't too keen to sleep in the top beds since the ceiling was dangerously close to our faces. And by that I don't only mean that we were worried about head banging problems. But rather the thought that the spider family in the corner would become an involuntary midnight snack really turned us off....eewww
Anyway, even though the weather was mostly too cold to go swimming in the sea, we had a great time strolling by the beach and the promenade, exploring Scheveningen and the city center of The Hague, picking up shells and stopping for a coffee or some yummi food. We even found some interesting beach art in form of *cough* a penis.

Sunny Greetings
